Friday Gladheart, author of The Practical Witch’s Almanac, has been a leading voice in the witchcraft community for nearly forty years. She hosts the Practical Witch Talk podcast and founded Witch Academy in 1996, offering courses in magical herbalism, tarot, and witchcraft through the oldest and most respected online academy for witches. Friday’s approach empowers individuals to discover their own magic, blending ancient traditions with modern science for practical and transformative results.
Offerings such as incense and oils in the Practical Witch Shop are created in small batches from her own special recipes. These recipes have been developed over 35 years of hands-on experience and “field testing” while working with clients in her apothecary. Each ingredient is carefully chosen to align with specific intentions. These correspondences honor ancient traditions while integrating modern scientific research in aromatherapy, psychology, and chemistry. Products are also created in harmony with traditional moon phases, days of the week, and astronomical events.
Her organic teaching garden and sanctuary, bordering a national forest, provides many of the herbs and botanicals used in her creations. Since 2022, she has offered her unique creations to metaphysical stores nationwide through Faire.
